The Flash Film Aiming for a Release in 2020

For a movie about someone who can go fast, the Flash solo movie has taken its time to get to the big screen. It didn't make its original release that was set for this year, but now we have an estimate on when we can actually get the film.

Co-director John Francis Daley confirms that the movie could come out in 2020, granted there are no hiccups with production.

Originally set to be directed by Rick Famuyiwa, creative differences have plagued the Flash movie with multiple director shifts and story directions. At one point, the movie was going to be an adaptation of the Flashpoint storyline, but it looks like it was dropped for a more self-contained plot.

We don't know what Daley and his partner Jonathan Goldstein have in store for this solo movie, but seeing as they did write Spider-Man: Homecoming, it's probably going to focus on Ezra Miller's Flash coming of age, and becoming the superhero that he is in the comics.

Besides Ezra Miller, the movie is also set to have an appearance from Gal Gadot a.k.a. Wonder Woman. That's sure to give a lot of people extra incentive to check out the movie. I just hope they don't give away too much of her role in the trailers.

The Flash is set to come out sometime in 2020.
