The Faraway Paladin finally reached the end of Season 1 and it is as exciting as the whole run of the anime show with the conclusion of Will’s success as the story goes on. Following a young lad who grew up in the City of the Dead to his journey in the land of the living, the finale has given a view of what he could achieve. In the finale of The Faraway Paladin, Episode 12, Will was blocked by Menel as he refused to let Will go away without giving their mission a fair fight. This led Will to relent and go back to the village and with their other friends, they started to work on a plan on how they could eliminate the demon beasts in the city.

Will and Menel fought their way as they headed to the hideout of the demon chief. They came across a chimera then Will realized something – the demon beasts were summoned for a reason and that it to be able to wipe out Beast Woods of humans making a home there so that the demons could fully take the City of the Dead for themselves and for the High King’s release to be enabled.

Will and Menel faced the chimera and Reystov went ahead of them while the chimera is busy, giving him a window to kill of the chief demon. With this, they finally completed their plan in eliminating the chief demon and its demon beasts around the village.

The village celebrated the triumph of Will, Menel, Reystov, and their companions. Menel, on the other hand, suggested that given the said victory they achieved, Will is in good standing and shape to have official governorship on Beast Woods. Even with doubts on himself, Will came into the conclusion that such would re-promote Gracefeel’s faith and that it could have a huge merit.

With this ending and a sequel already confirmed to be in the works as the official Twitter account of The Faraway Paladin that Season 2 is confirmed, the series could take on what happens next after Will and his friends defeat the demons around Beast Woods. The announcement was made on Christmas day, making it a present for all the fans and viewers of the show.

The Faraway Paladin is now streaming on Crunchyroll for its premium access subscribers. It will be available for free on January 10, 2022.
