In the finale of The Faraway Paladin, Episode 12, Will was blocked by Menel as he refused to let Will go away without giving their mission a fair fight. This led Will to relent and go back to the village and with their other friends, they started to work on a plan on how they could eliminate the demon beasts in the city.

Will and Menel fought their way as they headed to the hideout of the demon chief. They came across a chimera then Will realized something – the demon beasts were summoned for a reason and that it to be able to wipe out Beast Woods of humans making a home there so that the demons could fully take the City of the Dead for themselves and for the High King’s release to be enabled.

Will and Menel faced the chimera and Reystov went ahead of them while the chimera is busy, giving him a window to kill of the chief demon. With this, they finally completed their plan in eliminating the chief demon and its demon beasts around the village.
