The Falcon and The Winter Soldier's Danny Ramirez Debunks Discarded Pandemic Story Arc

There is little doubt that fans don't have any major complaints about The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. After all, the Marvel Cinematic Universe series didn't waver from its general storyline. However, there have previously been reports about a pandemic story arc that was supposed to be featured in the show. Luckily, Danny Ramirez has just debunked those speculations.

Last year, production on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier had to be halted due to COVID-19. But before the delay, there were previous reports about "a bioterrorism threat" being a subplot for the Flag-Smashers that had to be deleted.

So was the pandemic storyline real? Ramirez told TVLine that he "hadn't heard" of any such thing while he was working on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. However, he did point out that his character Joaquin Torres had a lot to deal with when he found out about The Flag-Smashers.

"The situation at hand has been dealing with the return of everyone [and] all that that entails, and what the Flag Smashers are bringing to the table and their view on the world," Ramirez said. "That's what Joaquin's really been dropped into."

Things may have been strange for Joaquin at first but he quickly got a hang of things in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. He was even given Sam Wilson's damaged wingsuit, teasing the character's future as the new Falcon.

For now, we're not sure when we'll get to see Joaquin flying as the new Falcon but we're definitely looking forward to it. In the meantime, the final episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is now available on Disney+.
