While fans have come to learn more about Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes in the past Marvel movies, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series will feature a "different" take on the characters. Although further details are yet to be revealed regarding the show's story, it looks like fans might get to see another side of the heroes that they haven't seen before.

In a recent interview with ET Canada, Sebastian Stan says the series will be an opportunity for them to get to do things with their characters that they "never had an opportunity to [do]." "I mean, we're taking them to such different, new waters," he added. "We're having a lot of fun. We're definitely [having fun]." Stan admits that there's "no way to not have fun" with co-star Anthony Mackie.

Stan even joked about the pair's rivalry too. "Sometimes I would really love to kill him," he said with a laugh. "But other than that, if one of us doesn't manage to kill the other by the end of the show, we're good."

The actor didn't specify what he meant by having a "different" approach to their characters in the show. That being said, it is possible that the heroes will go on adventures and show a bit more of their true colors, or that the story could potentially lead to an interesting turn that'll let the fans see a drastic change to what they have seen before in these characters. It could be anyone's guess by now, and sure enough, there'll be a lot of speculations with Stan's comments. Needless to say, fans can't wait to see a "different" take on them and to finally see Wilson and Barnes in action again.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set for release on Disney+ this Fall.
