The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: Cap is Back in New Photo of US Agent

We've known for a while that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will deal with whoever is taking on the Captain America mantle, and though Steve picked Sam Wilson, the government wants a more ‘marketable' Cap with John Walker (Wyatt Russell). Just in, we have some new in-series promos of the new "Cap".

Thanks to Atlanta Filming on IG, we have an image of Walker's Captain America on ad posters with the tagline "Cap is Back." You can check them out here.

We don't know what reason the government has for not having Sam Wilson be the new Captain America, but fans are hoping that Disney will go the meta route and say that it's because Sam is African-American. If they wanted to go the less socially charged route, I can imagine it's because Sam is known not to play by the rules, and they want someone in line that will actually listen to orders.

I really hope they come out with some relevant social commentary this time, because why else would they be bringing in the ‘Black Captain America' Isaiah Bradley?

I'll admit, I'm not the most excited person for this series, but the more promos come out, the more interested I become. With Marvel movies usually adhering to a formula nowadays, I want to see just how Disney+ can open the door for these more experimental projects.

Catch The Falcon and The Winter Soldier when it debuts on Disney+ this August.
