What Happened in The Demon Girl Next Door Season 2 Episode 1?

During their summer vacation, Shamiko and Momo find themselves in the middle of a road. The shadow mistress appears to have officially challenged her eternal rival, Momo, who is also a magical girl, in a sudden duel. Momo, on the other hand, appears to have misunderstood why Shamiko invited her out.

Shamiko originally wrote a letter of challenge to Momo with the assistance of her teacher, Ms. Azaze, with the sole intention of duelling Momo. Shamiko wants Momo to be her vassal, in case you missed it.

That being said, a vassal is someone with whom a demon girl forms a magical familial bond by signing a contract. If Shamiko defeats Momo, she can summon her at any time and let Momo try on different outfits.

Meanwhile, Momo is preoccupied when she receives the letter from Shamiko. She mistook Shamiko's invitation for an invitation to hang out. As a result, much to Shamiko's surprise, she decides to prepare, try on clothes, and show up in her casual attire.

It appears that they both had a misunderstanding! Anyway, the two of them had a good time together, wandering the streets, playing gacha machines, and going to the market.

The first episode then follows Mikan's rehoming in Banda Terrace, where Shamiko and her family currently reside. Mikan began his life in Momo's house, only to be relocated to the strange and ruin-like apartment of Banda Terrace.

From here on, Mikan and Shamiko talk about Sakura Chiyoda's disappearance, Mikan's curse, finding demons in town, and undoing the power of the seal placed on Shamiko and her family, Shamiko's father, who has mysteriously turned into a box, and anything else that comes up.

Before the episode ends, Momo arrives at the apartment complex where she decides to spend the rest of her summer vacation with her neighbors Mikan and Shamiko. Consequently, Momo decides to buy beef as a gift for Shamiko's family, which they end up eating for sukiyaki as a basic courtesy.
