Elizabeth Debicki will play Princess Diana, and Dominic West will play Prince Charles
Elizabeth Debicki will be playing the older Princess Diana in The Crown Season 5. After Emma Corrin's stellar portrayal of the People's Princess in the earlier season, Debicki is certainly making fans and viewers of the show do a double take with her remarkable performance as Diana, Princess of Wales.
Acting opposite Debicki is Dominic West, who will play Prince Charles. West was surprised when he was cast as Prince Charles because he thought that they looked nothing alike. However, when speaking with the Daily Mail, he explained why the producers went with him.
It's quite disconcerting as I didn't look anything like him when I looked in the mirror. I kept telling the producers that they had cast the wrong person. But they explained that this was not a show of imitations. But that was difficult as this is a real person who is hugely famous and recognizable.
West may be apprehensive, but we agree with the producer's choice, especially after the show released the first look featuring Debicki and West as the royal couple, Charles and Diana.

We will be meeting new actors making their professional debuts in The Crown season 5.
19-year-old Meg Bellamy will be playing Kate Middleton, while 21-year-old Ed McVey will play Prince William. The younger Prince William will be played by 16-year-old actor Rufus Kampa.

The 90s also saw many Royal Romances bloom and wane, which may be included in The Crown Season 5. The Royal Family had to endure three major divorces in the 90s; Princess Anne and Mark Philips called it quits in 1992, and in 1996, Prince Andrew split up with Sarah Ferguson. The most famous separation in the Royal Family also happened in 1997, when Princess Diana and Prince Charles finally ended their marriage.
