Apart from successful films and television offerings, the Star Wars franchise has also been dominating the world of video games for a number of years now but it can't be denied that their current titles are starting to become stale to some fans who are already clamoring for new games under LucasArts. It's being rumored that the company is capitalizing on the popularity of The Mandalorian by developing a tie-in game but no official confirmation has been made.

Now, another gaming giant is rumored to be developing a new Star Wars game. Following the announcement that Gears of War developer The Coalition is working on new gaming projects, fans quickly jumped to the conclusion that a video game based on the legendary science fiction series is on its way. However, that's not the case and just as the rumors started to spread like wildfire, the company immediately dismissed reports claiming they're creating such a thing.

In a Reddit post, The Coalition's Senior Community Manager Shaun Akerman put a stop to the rumor mill and said that they are not working on any projects related to the franchise. Responding to a fan about the reports, Akerman said: "Just to clarify regarding the Star Wars thing. We are not working on any such title. We have nothing else to announce at this time."

Aside from the rumored The Mandalorian game, it is also being reported by several sources that a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel and Star Wars Battlefront III are also being developed by LucasArts although the authenticity of the said reports has yet to be proven. So far, the only upcoming video game title from the franchise fans can expect is the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga which hits stores sometime this year.

Speaking of Star Wars, The Mandalorian Season 3 is hitting Disney+ in 2022.
