The Clone Wars Season 7 Revealed How Close Anakin Skywalker Came to Redemption

At this point, there is no denying that Anakin Skywalker was destined to end up in the Dark Side. However, Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 has just revealed how close Anakin came to redemption.

In Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 11, Ahsoka Tano was already preparing to bring Maul to justice. But before that, she is invited to a meeting with the Jedi Council. Interestingly, it's the same meeting involving Yoda and Mace Windu that initially appeared in Revenge of the Sith but with one interesting addition: Ahsoka actually joined the meeting after the scene was cut in the prequel trilogy film.

At first, Yoda tried to see if Ahsoka would now be ready to come back to the Jedi Order but she insists that she is still a citizen. She then asks for Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi but is told that that the two are currently ending the war. For some reason, Mace makes it obvious that Palpatine is a threat but refuses to tell her more since she claims to be a citizen.

Unfortunately, that may have been the wrong move considering that Ahsoka has some intel about Anakin. In the previous episode, Maul had blatantly told Ahsoka that Darth Sidious intends to turn Anakin to the Dark Side. If the Jedi Council simply tried to help Ahsoka, she may have told them about the Sith Lord's plans and prevented his fall to the Dark Side.

Do you think Ahsoka could have saved her former master? Sound off in the comments below.
