The Clone Wars Confirms Ahsoka Knew Anakin Joined The Dark Side

The latest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 was a truly emotional one for fans as it finally revealed what happened to Ahsoka Tano when Darth Sidious finally executed Order 66. However, it's what happened just moments before the former padawan was surrounded by Clone Troopers that confirms a sad realization for Ahsoka.

In Shattered, Ahsoka and Captain Rex had successfully captured Maul and were going to bring him to Coruscant to face the Jedi Council. This could have been a great way to end things but it's not that kind of episode. As they leave Mandalore, Ahsoka suddenly senses that something is wrong but it's not about her, it's about her former master.

At around the same time that Rex is contacted by Darth Sidious to execute Order 66, Ahsoka hears the voice of Anakin Skywalker in conflict. She immediately realizes that her former master is in trouble and calls on Rex but it is somehow too late. Rex and the Clone Troopers have already received the order and were ready to kill her.

The fight somehow makes Ahsoka forget about Anakin because there are more important things at hand (you know, like staying alive and saving Rex). Nevertheless, it was a small confirmation that she sensed the moment that Anakin fell into the Dark Side and that Sidious has succeeded. Sadly, it makes the fight between Ahsoka and Darth Vader in Star Wars Rebels even more emotional.
