Before season 4 arrives on Prime, let's recount some of Homelander's worst kill scenes in The Boys seasons 1 to 3.

From being The Seven's mighty leader to becoming humanity's number 1 public enemy, Homelander has committed atrociously brutal things to his comrades, to authorities, to criminals, and even the civilians themselves.

CONTENT SPOILERS: This article contains spoilers for Prime Video's The Boys season 4, proceed with caution.

  1. If Staring Could Kill (And It Did)

Madelyn Stillwell was the last person Homelander would ever think of killing. But he did. Specifically because he never thought she would betray him.

He did the moment he found out that Billy Butcher's wife, Becca, bore the Supe's son behind his back, and Stillwell was one of the people who kept this secret from him.

Once he tracked down Butcher, who was trying to hold Stillwell hostage from Homelander, he took matters into his own hands and stared into Stillwell's eyes with his laser beams, melting her skin and skull in the process.

Burned his house down and abandoned her baby somewhere.

  2. Homelander Kills Doppelganger's Homelander Form

This was one of the most vulnerable moments Homelander showed fans on Prime.

After losing the love of his life, Madelyne Stillwell, he confides in Doppelganger to keep his form copying her form.

In one of their sessions, when Doppelganger couldn't hold Stillwell's form, he resorted to testing whether Homelander only loved himself.

Unfortunately for Doppelganger, Homelander still snapped his neck while he was bearing the Supe's face. In Homelander's words, he didn't need anyone to love him.

  3. Homelander Forces Deep to Eat His Friend

Upon reinstating The Deep back onto Vought's The Seven team, Homelander had a surprise for his former comrade — a whole seafood cuisine being consumed by his wife, The Seven's mightiest leader, and Ashley.

The Deep tried to sound okay with it by keeping his eyes off. But we all know Homelander was not going to stop there. He tells The Deep he prepared a 'special' dish for him: his octopus friend, Timothy.

He had no choice. Considering this was what it was going to take to bring him back to Vought, his own wife forced him to 'eat the d*mn octopus' via text.

Behind the scenes, as the actor Chace Crawford revealed, the octopus was made out of mochi. The black ink that burst inside his mouth was a maple syrup mixed with dye. Crawford admitted he lost his cravings for pancake shooting this scene.

  4. Murdering His Conspiracists Off-Camera

The Mexican-American hero Supersonic joined The Seven in hopes of helping and protecting his longtime friend, Starlight.

However, Supersonic made the wrong decision to trust that A-Train would be interested in joining their team to go against Homelander.

Once word reached Homelander, he took Starlight to her sliced-up friend on an abandoned rooftop, as a warning from the blonde hero that he was not going to be easy on any more conspiracists planning to kick him behind his back.

  5. Homelander's Laserfest

Homelander may have killed the Wind Supe-Terrorist as instructed, but the people did not take lightly that he also ended up laser-beaming a couple of civilians in the African village.

As Victoria Neuman took charge of the rally that day, Homelander tried clearing his name, to no avail.

When the frontrunning civilian pulled a finger up at Homelander, he laser-beamed every single person in the crowd with a guilty look on his face.

However, this was all but his wishful thinking, if he did not have to care for his image and reputation outside Vought. Still, it was one of the earliest indications of his capabilities when people push his boundaries.

  6. Homelander and Maeve Abandon the Plane

One of Homelander's initial tell-tale signs that he was not a good guy was when he and Maeve caught the pilots of a failing plane dead in their seats.

As much as Maeve wanted to try piloting the plane or urge Homelander to kick off the ground and lift the plane for every passenger's survival, he gave her a choice: to be abandoned and go down with the civilians or to come fly with him to safety and blame it on Vought.

Despite Maeve insisting they at least take the kids with them on the flight, Homelander thinks of the consequences if the kids end up remembering how they left their duty and killed these people.

Either way, Homelander and Maeve (but specifically Maeve) have been haunted by this part of their job since then.

  7. Homelander On His Last Straw

    Homelander's last straw.

He was proud to finally have his estranged son, Ryan, on his side. But the minute a civilian ended up hurting him, he stared the stranger down and burned him to a crisp using his laser beam.

Homelander was surprisingly applauded by the crowd, despite his horrifying kill-on-sight in the public eye.

This could only lead to worse things in The Boys season 4 now that he realizes his terrible actions no longer hold any consequences, especially with head-popper Supe Victoria Neuman running for Vice President on his side as the upcoming President.
