The Book of Boba Fett Reportedly Adds Extraction Director

It looks like Robert Rodriguez isn't the only director working on The Book of Boba Fett. A new report reveals more directors working on the new Star Wars series and it happens to include Extraction director Sam Hargrave.

It was confirmed during Disney Investor Day that Rodriguez would helm The Book of Boba Fett after he directed the character's awesome episode in The Mandalorian Season 2. At first, it was believed that the Alita: Battle Angel director would be working on all episodes of the new series. However, a new report reveals otherwise.

According to The Ronin, Hargrave is expected to direct at least one episode of The Book of Boba Fett. The filmmaker had previously worked as the second unit director on The Mandalorian Season 2 and it looks like Disney and Lucasfilm have decided he should work on an episode on his own.

This is truly exciting considering that Hargrave has already proven that he is a genius when it comes to helming action sequences. He had previously worked on Extraction with Chris Hemsworth and the film has become one of the most successful movies on Netflix. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what Hargrave has in store for us later this year.

Rodriguez and Hargrave are not the only ones directing the episodes of The Book of Boba Fett. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, who serve as executive producers alongside Rodriguez, will also helm their own episodes. Bryce Dallas Howard, who has worked on episodes for both seasons of The Mandalorian, will direct an episode or two as well.

The Book of Boba Fett has not yet been given an official release date. However, the series is already set to premiere on Disney+ in December 2021.
