As reported by Variety, the Red Carpet Hollywood Premiere of The Book of Boba Fett will be pushed back to a later date, from January 4, 2022 to February 8. It will be held at the El Captain Theater and is expected to be attended by Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Ming-Na Wen, and Robert Rodriguez among others.

The premiere of the show on Disney Plus will still push through before the year ends but the red carpet Hollywood premiere of the series will be happening on the finale episode of The Book of Boba Fett.

The reason has been revealed and it is due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in US with the threat of the new variant, Omicron. While it may be uncanny to have such kind of event to be celebrated with the finale, it is for safety purposes of everyone who will be attending.
