The Mandalorian Season 2's grand finale will forever be remembered by Star Wars fans because of Luke Skywalker's jaw-dropping return and true to form, people still couldn't help but rave about it whenever it gets brought up. However, as exciting as it is, a lot of viewers were thrown off by the way he looked. Obviously, Lucasfilm had to rely on a little CGI magic to bring Mark Hamill's young self back to life but the work done on his face was too sloppy to ignore.

Turns out, the production company acknowledged the issue and following the epic Season 2 conclusion, reports circulated all over the net that Lucasfilm was recruiting a deepfake artist to work on Luke's computer-generated face. Well, it looks like the rumors are true because The Book of Boba Fett marked the return of the famed Jedi Master and his latest iteration looks night and day compared to the one we got in The Mandalorian.

Thankfully, the powers that be actually listened to the fandom's criticism and did the best they could to fix the issue with Luke's CGI. It'll be interesting to see though if Lucasfilm will continue to rely on a CGI'd Skywalker, especially now that's becoming more evident that he'll be a central figure in the MandoVerse moving forward.

The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 6 is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
