The entire Star Wars community was rocked early this week when rumors began swirling online that Lucasfilm's latest Disney+ series, The Book of Boba Fett will also feature a moment similar to that of Luke Skywalker's grand return in the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian. According to several reports, Harrison Ford is set to make his way back to a galaxy far, far away and reprise his role as Han Solo in the show.

Of course, given Han's history with the famed bounty hunter, it makes absolute sense for him to be involved in the show. However, a lot of people aren't that thrilled with the idea of Harrison getting de-aged for the part. Many believe that Solo: A Star Wars Story actor Alden Ehrenreich should be given the honor for obvious reasons. Check out some of the reactions below:

While Solo performed decently at the box office in 2018, the Star Wars fandom is undeniably divided by it. Having Alden return to the MandoVerse and reprise Han would be neat, but given that he didn't really leave a mark playing the beloved character, it's understandable that Lucasfilm would once again recruit the original Han Solo actor.

As it stands, the rumors surrounding Han's alleged cameo appearance in The Book of Boba Fett have not been proven, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see it for ourselves. Hopefully, Han's return is not just Disney's attempt at cashing in on nostalgia and would make sense storywise but I have complete faith in Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni's collective vision.

The Book of Boba Fett is already streaming on Disney+.
