The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6 Recap: Familiar Faces and a Stranger From the Desert

It's Boba Fett Wednesday once again but the latest episode of The Book of Boba Fett had a lot of more exciting things to focus on other than the new Daimyo. Episode 6 has just brought back some beloved Star Wars characters to join the fight against the Pyke Syndicate. However, it also introduced a stranger from the desert! SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

In The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6, Din Djarin finally arrives at the forested planet where Grogu is being trained by Luke Skywalker. Djarin is greeted by R2-D2 while Skywalker helps Grogu remember what happened during Order 66. As all this is happening, Djarin encounters Ahsoka Tano, who tells him his visit may hinder Grogu's training so she offers to pass Djarin's gift on to the youngling.

Djarin reluctantly agrees and returns to Tatooine where Fett's allies are discussing the lack on manpower against the Pykes. It's at this point that Djarin pays a visit to Mos Pelgo marshal Cobb Vanth who had confronted some Pyke spice runners early in the episode. Vanth agrees to help but later faces off against Cad Bane, a known associate of the Pykes who shoots the marshal and his deputy.

The episode concludes with Skywalker giving Grogu a choice. The youngling could choose Djarin's gift and join his friend, abandoning his training. However, if he chooses Yoda's lightsaber, the child should continue to train as a Jedi.

There is little doubt that the episode is setting up things that will be happening in The Mandalorian Season 3. However, this show is called The Book of Boba Fett so we'll be expecting to see more the fight against the Pykes next week.

The Book of Boba Fett Episode 6 is titled Chapter Six: From the Desert Comes a Stranger. It is now streaming on Disney+.
