The Best Modern Star Wars Movie Named In New Poll

The Star Wars franchise has managed to produce quite a number of films since A New Hope was released in 1977 and ever since the start of Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy there's been quite the debate among fans on which modern Star Wars entry is the best.

IGN just recently put up a poll asking followers to pick the best modern Star Wars film and it looks like Gareth Edwards' Star Wars spinoff movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, takes the top spot on the list. The publication listed down all of Lucasfilm's Star Wars movies after 2000, including prequel trilogy entries, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

Rogue One managed to come out on top of the poll. The film managed to rake in a 40.8% share of the poll's 30,000 votes proving the Star Wars fans (or at least those who thought of voting) enjoyed the dark and gritty Star Wars entry more than any other Star Wars film.

Revenge of the Sith came in second with a 23.8% share of the votes, beating out Star Wars: The Force Awakens which had only 18.5%. The Last Jedi came in fourth with only 9.7% of the respondents naming the film as its favorite. Solo got a pretty low number with a 3.7% count. The lowest, of course, went to Attack of the Clones.

Of course, this poll doesn't reflect the entire Star Wars fanbase's sentiments regarding the new Star Wars movies.
