Ben Affleck is certainly trying his best to get his act together. Ben's brother Casey Affleck has offered an update on how The Batman star is dealing with rehab.
Casey recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight while promoting his new film The Old Man and The Gun. Casey revealed that the Justice League star is doing his best to conquer alcohol addiction for the sake of ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their children.
"Alcoholism has a huge impact on not just the person, but also their family. So, I think for his kids' sake and for their mom, and for himself, he's trying to do the work and get it together," Casey said. The Manchester By The Sea actor also admitted that alcoholism ran in their family.
"Ben is an addict and an alcoholic. Most of my grandparents are alcoholics. My father is an alcoholic, as bad as you can be, and he's been sober for about 30 years. I've been sober for about six years. Ben is trying to put it together, and it can be a very hard thing to do. He has the kind of resources and time, luckily, to take the time and go to a good facility."
Garner recently brought Ben to a rehabilitation center after a quick at-home intervention. According to sources, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star was eager to get help and immediately allowed his ex-wife to drive him to the facility.
It is still unclear how long Ben would need to stay in rehab. Nevertheless, fans continue to support the actor and are looking forward to seeing him reprise his role as Bruce Wayne in The Batman.
