A lot of fans were outraged when it was first revealed that Robert Pattinson will be taking over the Batman role from Ben Affleck in a new reboot helmed by Matt Reeves but as we draw in closer to the premiere of The Batman, the Twilight star is turning a lot of heads with his portrayal of the caped crusader. Judging by the stuff we've seen so far, it's obvious that Reeves took Batman in an even darker direction which pleased many fans. Turns out, he's going all-in on this specific version of the character which is seemingly more brooding and unhinged.

According to Pattinson himself, The Batman has changed Bruce Wayne's presentation in a huge way. In an interview with Empire Magazine, "Battinson" revealed that Batsy's alter ego Bruce Wayne is a far cry from his previous portrayals both in comics and film. Pattinson says: "Bruce has been hiding away. He’s not really a socialite at all. He’s building all these little contraptions and things, just with Alfred. And even Alfred thinks he’s gone insane!"

Pattinson's latest revelation tells us that Batman and Bruce Wayne will be pretty much alike in the film and it's definitely an interesting new approach to the character. You see, for the longest time, Bruce and Batman have been portrayed as polar opposites by Wayne himself which helps him blend in while concealing the vigilante's true identity.

The Batman is scheduled to hit cinemas on March 4, 2022.
