Robert Pattinson Retracts Joke About Not Working Out For The Batman

With Robert Pattinson being the next in line to play the iconic DC Comics character, ‘The Batman’, fans are doubting Pattinson on whether he is a perfect fit for the role. And on an interview last 2020, he joked about not being interested in working out for the role. This has caused controversy and the fans thought he is not taking the role seriously.

Former actors who played Batman roles from Christian Bale to Ben Affleck have seriously prepared physically, they did an intensive workout; “Chaos Training” and got really ripped to be fit for the Batman mantle.

"I think if you're working out all the time, you're part of the problem," he said. "You set a precedent. No one was doing this in the '70s. Even James Dean — he wasn't exactly ripped."

According to him, he was given a Bosu Ball and training equipment to aid his workout habits, but he barely touched them.

His last statement about working out made the fans assume that he is not preparing physically for the role. And according to Pattinson, ‘“The Batman’ Really ‘Came Back to Haunt Me.”

“I just always think it’s really embarrassing to talk about how you’re working out. I think it’s like an English thing. Unless you are in the most unbelievable shape, where people are just genuinely curious, going, ‘How have you achieved, like, physical perfection?’ or whatever.”

He relieved the fans that “You’re playing Batman. You have to work out. I think I was doing the interview when I was in lockdown, as well, in England…I was in a lower gear of working out.”

But aside from working out, Pattinson was revealed working hard for that includes training with Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu Master, Rigan Machado.

‘The Batman’ will be available in theaters on March 4, 2022, and we will certainly see if Pattinson’s Batman is remarkable and if his preparation really paid off.
