The Bad Batch Episode 16 Recap: Kamino Isn't The Only Thing Lost in Season Finale

The end is here but it doesn't feel like Star Wars: The Bad Batch is over. The final episode of Season 1 may have concluded the storyline but Kamino Lost also confirmed that there is still much to look forward to in the future.

WARNING: The following contains SPOILERS from The Bad Batch Episode 16 so PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Episode 16 immediately kicks off where it left off last week. Clone Force 99 finds themselves in the wreckage of Tipoca City which is beginning to submerge underwater. Meanwhile, the Empire leaves Kamino believing that there are no survivors.

But there are survivors and although they aren't completely safe, they are working to save each other. Omega and AZI-3 worked together to save Crosshair when they were all trapped in a flooding room. This act would later be repaid but with depressing results.

The Bad Batch tries to use the tube they used in the previous episode to get back to the ship but finds it damaged. AZI-3 suggests putting them into lab capsules and guiding them back to the surface. Unfortunately, the droid runs out of power and Omega tries to bring him back up, almost drowning in the process.

The members of Clone Force 99 were desperate to get Omega out of the water and Crosshair suddenly aims his rifle in their direction. The move had everybody on guard until it is revealed that Crosshair was trying to save Omega and AZI-3.

Luckily, everyone makes it back to the ship. However, Crosshair had other plans. He tells the rest of the group to leave him behind. The Marauder ends up leaving Kamino without him.

It's disappointing to know that Crosshair chose not to go with his brothers after trying to find them throughout the season. However, there is a possibility that this isn't the last time we'll see him with the Bad Batch. There are speculations that their paths will cross again in Season 2.

All episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 1 are now streaming on Disney+.
