The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland recently revealed that she wants to do a TV series adaptation of the hit Star Wars video game Knights of the Old Republic.

The critical response to the premiere episodes has been mostly positive with praises towards Headland's creative vision as she brought a new take to the decades-long mythology of Star Wars.

With the success of Headland's work on the series, some fans are starting to wonder whether we will see her get involved in more Star Wars projects and it looks like she has a title in mind for her potential next step in the franchise.

Leslye Headland Reveals Her Dream Star Wars Project is Knights of the Old Republic TV Series

In a recent interview, Headland opened up about her dream Star Wars project that she wants to work on next after The Acolyte.

She revealed that she wants to do a TV series adaptation of Knights of the Old Republic since she is a huge fan of the video game.

"I've always wanted to explore a live-action version of the Knights of the Old Republic game and the character of Kreia. I think it would be a very interesting story to bring to life," The Acolyte showrunner said.

While Knights of the Old Republic is not an official part of the Star Wars canon, it is an idea that is worth exploring in a potential TV series and integrated into the official canon since it is set thousands of years before the Skywalker Saga.

Headland has also proved that she has a strong adoration for the Star Wars franchise outside the Skywalker Saga and she can bring an interesting take if she explores this particular era of the galaxy that has also never been explored in live-action.

The game lends itself to epic serialized storytelling that fits in a TV series format. Some fans can hype up the potential project and turn it into a hit for the franchise.

So far, Lucasfilm has not laid out any plans to adapt the game into a TV series, but at least, they know someone that they can approach if they want to move forward with the project.
