The new Star Wars series The Acolyte will finally premiere very soon, and fans are wondering what the episode schedule will be to prepare for their weekly viewing.

There has been a lot of anticipation for The Acolyte since it is the first Star Wars series that is set in the High Republic era, a timeline that has never been explored in any of the live-action projects.

Let's explore the episode schedule of the new Star Wars series below.

The Acolyte Episode Schedule

The first two episodes of The Acolyte are set to premiere on Disney+ this June 4 at 6 pm PT/9 pm ET. The other six episodes will be released weekly.

This follows the release pattern of the other Star Wars live-action shows (or most Disney+ original shows in general) as they also have weekly releases.

The strategy allows fans to look forward to new episodes every week throughout the first season and gives them an opportunity to do weekly speculations and theorize about the storyline.

Here is the episode schedule of The Acolyte according to an official listing:

  • Episodes 1 and 2 - June 4, 2024
  • Episode 3 - June 11, 2024
  • Episode 4 - June 18, 2024
  • Episode 5 - June 25, 2024
  • Episode 6 - July 2, 2024
  • Episode 7 - July 9, 2024
  • Episode 8 - July 16, 2024

All new episodes will air every Tuesday night (US time), making it a major primetime release for Disney+.

It should be noted that the schedule is still subject to change as Disney+ might do a last-minute tinkering on their release plan.

What is The Acolyte About?

The Acolyte's official logline reads: "An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master against a dangerous warrior from his past. As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems..."

The series stars Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joona Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Leslye Headland serves as the showrunner. She also directed the episodes alongside Kogonada, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Hanelle Culpepper.

The early social media reactions so far have been mostly positive with praises towards its action choreography, characters, story, and comparisons to the classic TV series Twin Peaks.
