That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2 Ending Explained: How Did the Walpurgis Conclude?

Clayman took his ultimate monstrous form in hopes of actually achieving something, upon realizing that he went too far and his efforts were for nothing. Clayman bragged about being a Deathman who would not truly die and refused to reveal more about his motivations and those he worked with.

Therefore, Rimuru decides to execute him, with the approval of all the Demon Lords. Rimuru uses Beezlebup to give Clayman the final blow, telling him that he cannot, in fact, be resurrected and asking him to think of what he's done.

Clayman calls for Tear, Footman, and, eventually Kazalim, who is revealed to also be a Deathman like him. Milim reassures Rimuru, telling him he's now stronger than Kazalim and shouldn't be afraid of him, but Rimuru won't make the same mistake twice; he's aware of his responsibility towards his nation of monsters and resolves to stay vigilant.

After killing Clayman, Rimuru is accepted as a True Demon Lord, but this is not the only change in their ranks: Frey and Carrion decide to step down and serve Milim, whom they consider far stronger than themselves. Milim isn't sure what to do with this new power, as having subordinates isn't her style, but the former Demon Lords jokingly remind her that she ruined their nations so she has to take care of them.

Demon Lord Valentine is revealed to be a woman who posed as Lord Valentine's maid and goes by the name Luminous, much to Veldora's surprise.

With fewer Demon Lords, the name of their association must change, and Rimuru names them Octagram.
