New episodes of the anime’s third season aren’t the only things that fans can look forward to. Recently, Bandai Namco announced the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) action RPG that will be released this August on consoles and PCs.
This new game was revealed via a new trailer that gives fans an overview of what to expect. What’s great about this reveal trailer is that it features English subtitles so even international fans can get excited.

Fans may have had to wait over two years for the new TenSura season, but the show’s return in spring 2024 was worth it for fans.
If that’s not enough, the Slime Isekai series is also getting a proper console and PC RPG soon. Previously, there has only been one video game adaptation in the series, and it was a mobile game released in 2021.
This new game is officially titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles, and it is being developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
Bandai Namco taking the lead with this game isn’t too surprising. After all, it is the go-to publisher and developer for many anime games, including the various Dragon Ball, Naruto, and One Piece titles.
TenSura Action RPG Gameplay and Story Details
While many anime video games are arena fighters, this upcoming release is an action RPG that seems to have 2D side-scrolling combat. This is quite different from the recently revealed Mushoku Tensei RPG.
What’s more, this game will feature a city-building mechanic that promises to add more variety for players.
As for its story, the official announcement by Bandai Namco revealed that it will follow the anime’s story arc, but with new additions made just for the game involving the Jura Tempest Foundation.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime RPG August Release Date Confirmed
Many video games are announced with no release dates. Thankfully, that’s not the case for the Slime Isekai RPG.
Alongside its announcement, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles is confirmed to be released worldwide on August 8, 2024.
The game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
