It has been a long wait but the first trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate is finally here. Not surprisingly, we're learning more about Mackenzie Davis' mysterious character as she takes on the sleek new T-1000.
The trailer opens with Davis' Grace driving a truck with Dani (Natalia Reyes), who is clearly shaken by her current predicament. "Two days ago, I had this nice, simple life. And now it's a nightmare, " she says.
How horrible is her current situation? They appear to be on the run as the new Terminator (Gabriel Luna) chases them. At one point, Grace tries to stop the T-1000 (we're not sure if that's the real model but it's pretty similar) by throwing a steel rod straight at it. Unfazed, it splits into two and immediately returns the attack.
Things are looking bleak for the women until Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) steps in and blows the Terminator away. This gives the women time to talk about Grace.
"I've never seen one like you before," Sarah tells Grace. "Almost human." The comment doesn't sit well with the soldier. "I am human," she replies.
So is Grace human or is she just a highly developed robot? We're not sure for now but she's clearly capable of taking on the new Terminator.
There's a brief glimpse at Arnold Schwarzenegger's T-800 but the action here is mostly between Grace and the new Terminator. Can Grace protect Dani and save the world?
Terminator: Dark Fate is scheduled for release on November 1.
