Terminator: Dark Fate SDCC 2019 Featurette Unveils More Intense Footage

There was a load of new footage that was screened at the Terminator: Dark Fate Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Although the clips were not released online, the film did unveil an awesome new featurette that also has some action-packed new footage to whet your appetite.

The featurette opens with director Tim Miller having an epiphany while filming a scene with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. "I thought, 'Holy f-k, I'm filming a Terminator movie!'" he said. All kidding aside, James Cameron believes that Miller has "recaptured the tone" of the original film. "It's grim, it's gritty, it's fast, it's intense," he says.

OK, we get it. But one of the best things about the featurette has to be Hamilton's Sarah Connor, who succinctly explains her job description ("I hunt Terminators") and expresses her deep hatred for Gabriel Luna's robot ("You metal motherf-ker"). We honestly wouldn't mind seeing Sarah singlehandedly take on the new Terminator but there are other interesting characters in Dark Fate as well.

The SDCC 2019 featurette certainly confirms that Dark Fate is as fast-paced and action-packed at Terminator 2: Judgement Day but can the new characters keep up? We're hoping that they do because this is one of the films to look forward to this year.

Terminator: Dark Fate also stars Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, and Diego Boneta. Edward Furlong has been confirmed to reprise his role as John Connor in the film. Find out what happened to John when the sequel hits theaters on November 1.
