Terminator Dark Fate: James Cameron Cites Creative Differences with Director Tim Miller

As it stands, the Terminator franchise hasn't been great since Judgement Day, but there are a lot of great reactions coming from the release of the latest entry, Dark Fate. Though a lot of people like the film, producer James Cameron reveals that the post-production process was kind of a nightmare.

Talking to CinemaBlend, Cameron was asked if he had any disagreements with director Tim Miller, and he said, "I would say many. And the blood is still being scrubbed off the walls from those creative battles. This is a film that was forged in fire. So yeah, but that's the creative process, right?"

Cameron even compared working with Miller on Dark Fate with Robert Rodriguez on Alita: Battle Angel. Cameron explained, "I mean, my work with Robert on Alita was very different. Robert loved the script, loved everything, said, 'I just want to make this movie. I want to make the movie the way you see it.' I was like, ‘No, you got to make it your movie.' I had the reverse experience with Tim, which is Tim wanted to make it his movie. And I'm like, ‘Yeah, but I kind of know a little about this world.' So I had the matter and the anti-matter version of that producorial experience."

Despite disagreements, it looks like it all turned out for the better. The franchise looks to have been invigorated, and a lot of people are loving the new movie. Then again, we'll just have to wait and see what the audience says when Dark Fate finally hits theaters.
