The future is looking incredibly bright for Tenoch Huerta following his career-making performance as Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The sequel doesn't treat the Sub-Mariner as a disposable villain unlike Killmonger who came before him and it pretty much tells you everything you need. Now, we still don't know when Namor will show up again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but the Mexican star is ready for what's to come.

Of course, given the character's enormous history in the comics, the possibilities are endless for Marvel Studios to come up with stories for the mutant anti-hero. The question is, which comic storyline could they end up adopting for Namor in the future?

When Rolling Stone asked Huerta about the possibility of Namor being romantically linked to Sue Storm in a future MCU project, the actor responded by saying that he's still being kept in the dark regarding Kevin Feige and company's plans for the character. He said: "Well, basically, I don’t know what’s in the plan for Namor in the future. Me, Tenoch, as a person, I want to play this character many times, but it’s not up to me. I think it’s up to Ryan [Coogler], and Nate [Moore], and Mr. Kevin Feige."

For the uninitiated, Namor and Invisible Woman have a complicated relationship in the comics. At one point, both characters shared feelings for one another while Sue was still married to Reed Richards. Although nothing ever blossomed from their apparent infatuation with one another, fans are generally on the fence about the idea of them being an item, especially given how Namor and Reed are close allies in the Illuminati.

Now, whether Marvel Studios would be daring enough to take on the said storyline remains to be seen but I'd like to assume that they'll shy away from doing something that would end up raising eyebrows within the fandom.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is still screening in cinemas worldwide.
