Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Getting A Reboot; Michael Bay Still Attached as Producer

Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie actually made a lot of money when it came out back in 2014, but the sequel, TMNT: Out of the Shadows wasn't as well-received. News has it that the Turtles are getting a reboot again, and Michael Bay is still attached to produce.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount is working on another TMNT reboot with Bad Words' Andrew Dodge hired to write the script. We don't have that much news on it yet, but we do know that it will still be developed under Platinum Dunes' banner, and Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller are also coming back to produce.

While most of the backlash for the TMNT movies come from the grown men who grew-up watching the Turtles in the 80s–90s, the new Turtles were said to have resonated better with kids. I, for one, thought that Out of the Shadows was a big improvement on the first one, but I think everyone agrees that Casey Jones was just treated poorly as a character.

If they were to reboot the Turtles, I hope that they bring back the actors from the previous two films. I thought they all had great chemistry together; and it took a while to grow on me, but the design of the Turtles decorating themselves with scraps and junk was not a bad idea.

No release date has been announced for the new Teenage Ninja Turtles movie.
