Netflix and DreamWorks TV have released a teaser trailer for the upcoming animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. From what can be seen, it looks like a new updated origin story for the character and one that might not have her brother Adam aka He-Man. Sadly, the trailer doesn't really reveal much but it looks decent enough, animation-wise.
It seems like the sword is talking to Adora, who is unsure of this whole situation she's gotten herself in. The teaser does end with her getting the sword and taking part in a transformation similar to the old cartoon and Sailor Moon.
We don't get to see She-Ra kick any butt yet though that will likely change when a full-length trailer is released in the coming days/weeks. People have been curious about the animated series ever since it was released, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Here's a synopsis of the series (via Newsarama):
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power has been the subject of some fairly dumb controversy that had a certain group of fans hating her look, even though it looks fine. This could be due to the fact that it looks very different from the 80's cartoon but that doesn't excuse the hate.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is coming to Netflix on November 16.
