Teaser Poster For Solo: A Star Wars Story Makes Its Way To Cinemas

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hasn't even hit cinemas yet, however it seems like Lucasfilm has been slowly starting work on the marketing campaign for its next standalone movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The first poster for the Han Solo spinoff's found its way to cinemas, and though the poster looks pretty simple and unrevealing, it could hint at an upcoming teaser trailer release.

Spotted by a fan in a local theater in California, a photo of the new poster for Solo shows the promotional material sitting right next to a poster for Lucasfilm's upcoming Force Awakens sequel. Plain and entirely unsurprising, the poster features the Solo logo with a simple black background, reiterating the film's May 25 release date.

There's been a lot of speculation that Lucasfilm might move the movie's premiere to December like the other Star Wars movies, but based on the new poster, it seems like that might not be happening at all. While the Solo poster fails to give away anything new about the upcoming spinoff, it does tease the possibility of a new teaser debuting along with The Last Jedi. There were reports going around back in October that a trailer cut of the Solo standalone actually does exist, and if true, then Lucasfilm would most likely want to drop the new preview during the premiere of its upcoming Star Wars sequel trilogy installment.

It's not too long a wait now that we've hit December, so let's just wait and see.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017. Solo: A Star Wars story on the other hand premieres May 25, 2018.
