As one of the most famous and influential pop stars, many look up to Taylor Swift, who recently received an honorary doctorate from New York University. But aside from her singing and songwriting talents, she is also praised for her Barbie-like beauty and perfectly-beautiful skin.

Taylor Swift is promoting body positivity. At 32 years old, she embraces aging with open arms and shots down beauty standards. Thankfully, though, she shares a thing or two about her beauty secret, and they’re all very easy to do.

The hitmaker is a staunch supporter of body positivity. Despite the social norms about the impossible beauty standard today, she says aging is a natural process.

"I’ve learned that society is constantly sending very loud messages to women that exhibiting the physical signs of aging is the worst thing that can happen to us," she said, per ELLE.

For the American beauty, being beautiful is skin-deep, and aging is pretty.

"These messages tell women that we aren’t allowed to age. It’s an impossible standard to meet,” she continued.

She even commended Jameela Jamil for being outspoken about “not conforming to beauty norms and societal models.”

“I’ve been loving how outspoken Jameela Jamil has been on this subject," she added.

With that said, Taylor Swift revealed she had learned to love every ounce of fat on her body.

“I worked hard to retrain my brain that a little extra weight means curves, shinier hair, and more energy,” she explained. “I think a lot of us push the boundaries of dieting, but taking it too far can be really dangerous.”

She knows there’s no quick fix for it, so she just works on accepting her body every day.

The Cats star also takes vitamins to help her feel better.

“I take L-theanine, which is a natural supplement to help with stress and anxiety,” she revealed. “I also take magnesium for muscle health and energy.”

Taylor Swift’s Beauty Secret

When it comes to beauty secrets, Taylor Swift has the simplest and easiest-to-follow routine. In fact, it’s not complicated at all and won’t even break the bank.

She admitted to sleeping in her makeup after her teen years and early 20s. She also occasionally used a Sharpie as an eyeliner.

“I felt like I needed to start being nicer to my skin," she announced. "I now moisturize my face every night and put on body lotion after I shower, not just in the winter, but all year round, because, why can’t I be soft during all the seasons?!"

Elite Daily noted Taylor Swift promotes skin and body as “treat-yourself acts of self-love.” She doesn’t do it as steps to preserve her youth, though it can’t be denied that she’s one of the celebrities who have the best skin.

She also talked about fashion and saw it as a “playful experimentation.”

“If you don’t look back at pictures of some of your old looks and cringe, you’re doing it wrong,” she said.
