Life remains difficult for Takt and Destiny, who are being investigated by one of Symphonica's Commanders. The two of them, along with Anna, are now heading for New Orleans. On the bright side, Takt and Destiny's teamwork seems to be improving.
takt op. Destiny follows Asahina Takt and Destiny, a Conductor and Musicart who work together to fight off monsters called D2. Anna, Takt's family friend, is accompanying them. This anime collaboration by MAPPA and Madhouse is set in a world where music is banned, following the emergence of monsters that are attracted to music. To fight off the D2s, humanity relies on the skills of Conductors and Musicarts, who have special abilities that are suited for battle.
Takt Op. Destiny Episode 5 Recap
The trio's next destination is New Orleans. During their journey, they encounter one of Symphonica's trains. Inside it is Commander Felix Shindler, who intends on investigating Takt and Destiny since they're an unregistered pair of Conductor and Musicart. Commander Felix says that the train is transporting Black Night Siderites to Houston, so they might as well hop in with them on the way to New Orleans. Walkure, a Musicart without a Conductor keeps an eye out on them during the trip.
The trip is delayed after Destiny accidentally destroys a part of the train tracks after getting rid of some D2s. Due to the delay, numerous D2s start heading for the train, most likely attracted by the Black Night Siderites. Destiny immediately jumps out of the train and starts eliminating them. Walkure shortly follows and the two of them fight off the horde of D2s. Walkure was at first doubtful of Takt, finding it hard to believe that someone like him is a Conductor. However, when more D2s start coming and the two are finding it hard to fight them off, Takt uses a strategy that impresses Walkure.
A giant D2 starts approaching, but Takt and Walkure are running out of energy. Commander Felix sends out his Musicart, Hell, to defeat it. After that, Commander Felix changes the plans for the train and tells Walkure that they don't need her anymore. He proposes to Takt and Destiny that they should join under his wing, but Takt refuses.
