For fans of music and anything involving fighting mysterious monsters that suddenly showed up out of nowhere, takt op. Destiny might be something worth adding to your shows to watch this Fall 2021. The first episode finally premiered this week, getting as introductory as it can get to start off the series — which, personally, was a bit underwhelming but still quite interesting either way.
takt op. Destiny follows Asahina Takt, a Conductor who wants to bring back music to the world. He is traveling around America with a Musicart named Destiny, and the two of them work together to fight off monsters called D2. They are drawn to music, and as such, this has been taboo to protect the people. While Takt wishes to bring back music, Destiny wants to get rid of all the D2.

Once upon a time, there were these mysterious light-colored stones that fell onto the planet. Everyone studied them and saw how they could be made use of. However, one day, numerous black-colored stones started falling from the sky. Monstrous creatures emerged from these stones, destroying the planet. But people who possessed the power to fight these monsters showed up, called the Conductors and Musicarts.
The year is 2047. In a small town somewhere, Takt finds an upright piano and starts playing it. The residents were happy to hear music again, and some of the kids were able to hear music for the first time. However, a D2 shows up in the town. He calls upon Destiny, and they successfully defeat the monster. We then discover that the two aren't exactly the best of teammates, considering they bicker a lot. The two of them are accompanied by another girl named Anna. The three of them aim to go to New York to get Cosette (Destiny) fixed.
While continuing with their journey, they stop at a diner. Numerous D2 have started to nest near the area, making that town difficult to live in. For Takt and the others, it potentially would've been an easier route towards New York. Cosette manages to eat enough to get her energy back and asks Takt if she can defeat the D2 in the area. Unfortunately, they fail. In the end, they managed to survive. They're now on their way to the next destination.
