Take your Protein Pills and Put your Helmet On: Space X releases Vintage Style Travel Posters to Outer Space

Elon Musk and Space X are dead serious in someday establishing a colony in Mars. Around the time that happens, space tourism will probably be a reality. Currently, space tourism is still in its experimental stage, with test launches unexpectedly crashing, but you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. With the handful of determined private institutions pouring dollars and man hours into this endeavor, someone's bound to have a breakthrough soon.

For now, however, Motherboard reports of Space X's efforts to ramp up enthusiasm and awareness by releasing a couple of vintage style tourism posters for some of Mars' more exotic destinations.

Martian Olympus Mons is volcanic and around 3 times higher than Earth's Mount Everest.

Mars' two moons are both smaller than Earth's own. Currently, NASA is gearing up to send manned vehicles to explore the surface of Phobos.

The canyon system of Valles Marineris is at least 3 miles deep and is of significant interest. Part of the canyon looks as though it was formed by flowing water.

Space X is good enough to release all three posters under the Creative Commons 0 copyright. That means you can take this party and do whatever you want with it.
