Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit Gets an Official Poster

Taika Waititi may be coming back to direct Thor: Love and Thunder, but this year, he's going back to his indie roots with Jojo Rabbit. The film is set to come out next month, and Waititi himself has shared the official poster for the film.

With most of the characters in the poster having appeared in the previews, one face we've barely seen is that of Alfie Allen a.k.a. Theon Greyjoy from Game of Thrones. The most we've got from Allen is a short shot of him dancing in the first teaser for the film, but his image in the poster kind of indicates that his character is going to be a bit of a goof.

I have to say, after Thor: Ragnarok, I'm excited for Waititi to come back to the films that feel more his style. As a fan of his films before he got into the MCU, Ragnarok kind of felt weird coming from Waititi. The humor was way more cartoonish, and we didn't really get any of those deep moments that are commonplace in Waititi's past filmography. Fingers crossed Marvel gives him that opportunity when he starts working on Love and Thunder.

Set during World War Two, an awkward young German boy whose only ally is his imaginary friend Hitler has his naïve patriotism tested when he meets a young girl who upends his world views.

Catch Jojo Rabbit when it hits theaters Oct. 18.
