In case you missed it, the first poster for Thor: Love and Thunder has reportedly been leaked and is now making its rounds all over social media. One person who certainly didn't miss it is director Taika Waititi and he has an awesome reaction to the poster for his upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.
The poster was first spotted in a toy store and was immediately shared on Instagram. From there, the poster has popped up all over the internet as fans reacted to the first glimpse at Jane Foster's return. It didn't take long before Taika Waititi saw the Thor: Love and Thunder poster and decided to tweet about it.
"This is so bad that I kinda wish it was an official poster. It's definitely what I would have done if I was in charge of posters," Waititi wrote.
That pretty much confirms that the poster isn't an official one. On the other hand, it looks like Waititi is loving it and we won't be surprised if the official Thor: Love and Thunder poster looks something like this.
Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth installment in the MCU film series and the second Thor movie that Waititi is directing. The sequel is expected to bring back Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, who will take the Thor mantle from Chris Hemsworth's God of Thunder. The film will also introduce Academy Award winner Christian Bale as new villain Gorr the God Butcher.
Thor 4 will also bring back Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, and Jeff Goldblum. Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Vin Diesel are also set to appear in the sequel.
The film has been pushed back to a later release date next year. Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
