Marvel Studios continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. A day removed from the release of the mind-blowing Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania trailer, the studio finally unveiled our first taste of The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special which is set to close out Phase 4. The special presentation, confirmed to be part of the MCU canon, takes place after Thor: Love and Thunder and before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

The special feature is centered on the Guardians' attempt to lift Star-Lord's holiday spirits as he's still yearning for Gamora (the 2014 version, that is) who has been missing in action since her "return" in Avengers: Endgame. Their solution, you ask? It's to bring legendary actor Kevin Bacon to space in hopes of making Peter Quill feel a lot better.

Bacon's shocking MCU debut is definitely something worth celebrating but the star of Footloose may have been upstaged by Groot who appears evidently more jacked than the last time we saw him. On Twitter, MCU fans couldn't help but gush over the beloved GOTG member who has been given a brand new moniker — "Swole Groot". Check out some of the reactions below:

I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit skeptical about this project but the GOTG Holiday Special looks like a lot of fun. Adding the one and only Kevin Bacon to the mix is also a nice touch but the question is: will Peter Quill's childhood hero actually be able to make his Christmas actually merrier? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation: The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will begin streaming on November 25th, exclusively on Disney+.
