Sweet Tooth is officially getting a third season. Netflix has just confirmed the post-apocalyptic series for Season 3 which is set to give the show a stunning conclusion.
Netflix confirmed the news by sharing an announcement video on the streaming service's official Twitter account. The video features Christian Convery joyfully confirming the show's return.
"We are so excited to share with you the final chapter of Gus's story and we can't wait to tell you all about it," Convery said.
The official Twitter account for Sweet Tooth also shared a special poster announcing the renewal. The poster shows Gus with the Aurora Borealis visible in the background.
The third season of Sweet Tooth is expected to be a huge one for the series since Gus and his companions will be setting out for Alaska in an effort to find Birdie. The anticipation for the little hybrid's reunion with his mother is already hyping fans up for the show's return.
Although Sweet Tooth Season 3 promises some heartwarming moments, there is also danger lurking in the darkness. The second season already established warlord Helen Zhang as the next major villain who is after the hybrids and she has some terrifying monsters working for her.
The premise of Sweet Tooth Season 3 has not yet been revealed. However, fans are already looking forward to seeing how Gus, Jepperd, Bear, and Wendy are going to fight off Zhang's monsters as they rush to Alaska to rescue Birdie.
The second season of Sweet Tooth focused on the fight against the Last Men who had taken Gus and other young hybrids captive. Their capture led to Big Man working with Aimee in an effort to free them while Dr. Singh struggled to find a cure for the Sick.
Sweet Tooth Season 3 has not yet been given an official release date. In the meantime, all episodes of the first two seasons are now streaming on Netflix.
