There is little doubt that we can expect strange things to happen in the highly anticipated Arrowverse crossover event known as Elseworlds. However, nobody was anticipating an appearance from Dean Winchester.
Supernatural Season 14 star Jensen Ackles has just been spotted on the set of Elseworlds. According to the fan who found him, Ackles was hanging out with Arrow actor Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin of The Flash. Check out the photo below.
Ackles' presence on the Elseworlds set immediately had fans wondering if he might finally portray the live-action incarnation of Jason Todd. After all, Ackles is known for voicing the DC comic book character in the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood. However, there has been no confirmation on whether Jason will be a part of the Arrowverse crossover.
Some people have even joked that Dean Winchester will have a small cameo in the major crossover event. After all, his appearance in the episodes would be a hilarious nod to how most of the CW shows seem to be set in one universe. However, there is a possibility that Ackles is simply on the set so he could hang out with his fellow CW stars. Nevertheless, fans are hoping to see Ackles show up in Elseworlds later this year.
Ackles is currently working on Supernatural Season 14, which premiered on October 11. His character has been possessed by the angel Michael and has been causing trouble for Dean's brother Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki). Luckily, Dean has been restored in the recent episode Gods and Monsters. Let's hope that Dean manages to keep Michael away for the rest of the season.
Supernatural Season 14 airs on The CW every Thursday nights. The Arrowverse Elseworlds episodes will premiere in December.
