This coming spring, the first DCU movie Superman: Legacy will finally begin production under the helm of James Gunn. A lot of fans have been looking forward to seeing the new take on the Man of Steel in the brand-new universe.

For the past several months, we've been hearing a lot of details regarding the casting of the film, including David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and many more.

DC fans have been wondering about what kind of new take Gunn and his team are going to bring to the new movie and how they will reintroduce the hero to a new contemporary audience.

In an interview with Extra TV during the red carpet at the recent Golden Globes ceremony, Rachel Brosnahan teased some details on her new spin on Lois Lane in Superman: Legacy.

She shared that she's been having meetings with Corenswet and Gunn regarding how they'll put their "own stamp" in the DCU movie compared to the previous iterations of Superman on the big screen.

"Well, we've been having a lot of great conversations, David and I, with James Gunn, the director," she said.

"We've been talking a lot about where this project fits into the canon of the Supermans that we know. So hopefully, this will be... we'll be putting our own stamp on things."

When asked whether her character will be wearing glasses in her wardrobe for the character, Brosnahan revealed that she is unsure about that part yet.

She said, "I don't know, actually. Maybe. We haven't gotten that far in the fittings yet."

While the actress didn't offer any spoilers, it is still an exciting tease since it is an indication that the cast and crew of the film are working hard to make sure that they will get the characters right in their reintroduction in the DCU.

Since Legacy is going to be the first DCU movie, there are a lot of stakes surrounding the world-building and tone-setting that they have to do to make a great first impression on the audience.

Hopefully, they will be able to succeed on this new version and start the new DCU franchise with a major splash.

Superman: Legacy is slated for a theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
