Now that the DC Extended Universe has officially come to a close, all eyes are now on James Gunn and Peter Safran's upcoming reboot which will kickstart via Superman: Legacy.
As it stands, Gunn, who serves as the project's writer and director has confirmed several casting choices for the film headlined by David Corenswet (Superman) and Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor).
But the biggest question the fandom has at the moment is: what type of suit will the Man of Steel wear in the 2025 retelling? Well, a new fan art suggests that Clark Kent should go back to basics and embrace his classic look.

Superman: Legacy Art Gives David Corenswet Man of Steel's Iconic Red Trunks
Concept artist @21xfour recently took to X (formerly Twitter), unveiling his glorious take on David Corenswet's potential Superman costume. The artist gives the Man of Steel a more classic look which is honestly a breath of fresh air, especially considering we've all gotten used to the "SnyderVerse" version of the suit which looked more "alien" and futuristic.
The artwork also depicts Jensen Ackles as the DCU's Batman, giving him a suit that is heavily inspired by Jim Lee's design, and quite frankly, it works. This is a team-up we'd be down to see. Check it out here:

We're still over a year away from the birth of the "new" DC Universe and hopefully, Gunn and Safran won't commit the same mistakes that eventually led to the DCEU's downfall.
We're also optimistic that the new WB Discovery regime led by David Zaslav won't make questionable executive decisions and will put the fandom first before anything else. Things are already looking quite promising for the DCU and this could be their true redemption arc.
Superman: Legacy is slated for release on July 11, 2025.
