DC fans have weighed in on the new Superman set photos featuring David Corenswet's Man of Steel suit that recently made rounds online.
Filming is still underway for the James Gunn-directed movie, which is set to be the first theatrical DCU project. It will also mark Corenswet's official debut as the Man of Steel and sets up a new era for the DC's cinematic franchise.
A while ago, Gunn treated fans with the first official photo of Corenswet's Superman suit which sparked a lot of reactions and excitement from those who have been waiting to see a preview of the DCU hero's costume.
Fans Are Reacting to David Corenswet's Superman Suit in New Set Photos
A new batch of set photos from the filming of Superman in downtown Cleveland (which is substituting for Metropolis) have surfaced online.
The photos reveal our new look at Corenswet's Superman suit in action. We also got our glimpse at Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific costume.
Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane, was also spotted on set filming a scene with Corenswet's Superman.
A lot of fans shared their reaction to the new set photos where they expressed their enthusiasm over Corenswet's Superman look as it iterated how perfect the casting was.
Fans are also seeing the sparks between Corenswet and Brosnahan as they feel that they already have chemistry even by just looking at the set photos.
The set photos entailed a lot of promise about the film as we're seeing signs that the DCU version will go back to the familiar roots of the character and it seemingly has a brighter and more optimistic tone than the DCEU portrayal.
It also gave us an idea about the film's massive production scale as they were filming a major set piece on location, and it showed their commitment to making some of the action sequences as practical as possible.
While we're still far ways off from its release, with what we're seeing so far, fans should get their hopes up as the signs are looking more promising.
Superman is slated for release in theaters on July 11, 2025.
