It goes without saying that Henry Cavill's stint in the DC Extended Universe could have been one of the best things about the franchise but time and time again, Warner Bros. and DC Films have seemingly pulled their middle finger on the fans and as it stands, Cavill still isn't part of the franchise's upcoming slate despite his great performance as Superman.
This is why a lot of fans have been demanding the British star to make the jump to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, something that has long been rumored to be in his future. In fact, rumor has it that Cavill is currently the top choice to play Brian Braddock aka Captain Britain in the MCU.
While some fans are already on board with the idea, Marvel Studios' recent announcement sparked a new movement with regard to the actor's potential MCU casting. Now, a lot of folks want Cavill to star in the upcoming Wonder Man project to be helmed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Check out some of the reactions below:

While I still firmly believe that playing a different comic book character other than the Man of Steel would be a downgrade for Henry, it can't be denied that time is running out for the actor and he's not getting any younger.
Now, one could hope that the whole DCEU reset after The Flash coupled with Warner Bros. Discovery's new direction will do "wonders" (no pun intended) for Cavill's DCEU career. If that's not the case, then I guess it's time for him to hang his Superman cape and go elsewhere.
That said, details about Marvel Studios' Wonder Man project are still under wraps.
