It looks like Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four reboot is already taking shape and this week, the rumor mill began spinning after several casting leaks circulated online. Turns out, the official cast of the highly anticipated project is set to be announced in the coming months and while the final lineup for Earth-616's First Family has yet to be determined, a new report suggests that Kevin Feige and his casting crew already have their favorites.
Inverse recently unearthed an alleged casting leak from 4chan claiming that You actor Penn Badgley and Supergirl star Melissa Benoist are the frontrunners to play Reed Richards and Sue Storm in the billion-dollar franchise. Another actress rumored to be on Marvel's radar to play Invisible Woman is Strange Things actress Natalie Dyer.
The leak clarifies that no offer has been sent out to the rumored actors but the cast will be revealed at this year's D23 Expo. Meanwhile, after the leak made its rounds on social media, Benoist now appears to be a favorite amongst fans as well which isn't all that surprising considering she's no stranger to the superhero genre.

I'm totally on board with the idea of Marvel casting younger actors for their upcoming projects and this could very well mean that the Fantastic Four we'll see in the MCU isn't going to be an already established team. Sure, the origin story formula might have been overdone but I honestly don't mind seeing another one.
