Suicide Squad Director Posts Ominous Joker Message after Snyder Cut Announcement

We all kind of understand that David Ayer's Suicide Squad was heavily re-edited by WB as a response to the negative feedback of Batman v Superman, but with Zack Snyder's Justice League officially coming to HBO Max, Ayer has posted a somewhat ominous message on his Twitter.

Check it out:

It's interesting that he should post up Jared Leto's Joker because earlier this month Ayer had said that he was disappointed with how the character was received, and that Leto deserved better. If anything, his Joker would have probably been handled better if we got a look at his original vision of the film; something that fans have been clamoring for besides the Snyder Cut.

If anything, the closest thing we have to Ayer's original vision of the film is probably the first SDCC trailer. After that, we were getting colorful trailers for the film that kind of bled over to the actual movie.

With Snyder being able to realize his vision after three years, I have no idea what has to happen so we can get Ayer's cut of Suicide Squad. Some sources before had said they've seen that version of the film before it was edited by the trailer studio, and that it was a lot darker. Maybe WB will reconsider if Justice League is received well? For now, I think it's too early to tell what could be in store for the future, but I would certainly love to come back to the DCEU that was originally being launched with Batman v Superman.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is set to come out on HBO Max in 2021.
