The series ended on a high note with its most recent release on Netflix and now, Stranger Things Season 5 goes under its pre-production stage as the writers of the show enters the "grid stage" teasing how many episodes there will be for the final run of the show.

The writers of Stranger Things are now back to work as they prepare for the fifth and final season of the series and it is expected to be a huge one when it comes out. In a photo they shared on Twitter, they teased that Stranger Things Season 5 is now on the "grid stage."

On the photo, the writers of Stranger Things Season 5 seemingly teased that the final season of the series will be running with eight episodes as they plot how the events in the show will unfold and while it is still blank, over the next days, it would be full of details.

Throughout the whole series, every season of Stranger Things usually ranges from eight to nine episodes which depends on how much time is needed for the story to be told.

To date, Stranger Things Season 4 is the longest of all, not only having nine episodes but with each of it having 70 minutes or more and the last two was like a two-part film finale which has more than four hours in total.

Preparing the fourth season of Stranger Things also took a longer time considering that the pandemic bought the writers and producers the time to complete the penultimate season of the series.

For Stranger Things Season 5, it is expected to follow the events of the fourth season where Vecna's plans succeeded into opening the gates through Hawkins as the Upside Down seeps into the real world, and Max's condition remains unknown. Will Byers is also set to be a central character in Season 5.

Stranger Things Season 5 is currently under development and has no release date yet.
