Gaten Matarazzo has been known for years because of his role in Stranger Things which gave him the big break he needs for his career to skyrocket. Now, the star gets a role on Broadway for the acclaimed musical Dear Evan Hansen, a huge step-up from his Neverending Story performance in the Netflix series.
Known for playing the role of Dustin Henderson in Stranger Things, Gaten Matarazzo just landed an new role, and this time, it would be big as he would be going to the Broadway stage for Dear Evan Hansen as Jared Kleinman, the friend of the titular character who would be played by Zachary Noah Piser.
Gaten Matarazzo gave a sample of his singing voice in Stranger Things Season 3 where he sang Neverending Story with his Suzie-poo and it remains to be one of the most iconic scenes in the entire show.
Matarazzo, at 19, is no stranger to broadway performing at a young age as Gavroche in Les Miserables, and as Benjamin in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Dear Evan Hansen is a musical based on the book of Steven Levenson about the titular character who has social anxiety but in an unfortunate twist of events, he got himself into playing a role in a tragedy which he took advantage of.
Gaten Matazrazzo will return in Stranger Things Season 4 as Dustin and he would be leading the pack as they compete in Dungeons and Dragons.
Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 arrives on May 27, 2022, at 3 AM EST, the usual release time of Netflix series. All of the seven episodes will be dropped and it is a marathon for all the fans waiting for the show to arrive. Volume 2 will come out on July 1 where the last two episodes will be released at the same time.
