The Writers Guild of America strike continues and it looks like Stranger Things Season 5 will not be moving forward until it is over. The Duffer Brothers confirmed that they are supporting their writers and that the series will not move forward until the writers return.
The Duffer Brothers recently took over the official Twitter account for Stranger Things' writers room and expressed their support for the writing team. Unfortunately, that means that Stranger Things Season 5 will halt production indefinitely.
"Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then -- over and out," the tweet read.
It's no surprise that Matt and Ross Duffer are standing by the Stranger Things writers. After all, the writers room is an important part of the team and the success of the show wouldn't be possible without them. Hopefully, the WGA strike will finally strike a note and the writers get what they truly deserve.
Stranger Things Season 5 will be the final season of the successful Netflix series. With that in mind, there are a lot of expectations about the fifth season and people believe that the last one should be the best.
For now, the premise of Stranger Things Season 5 has not yet been officially revealed. However, there is little doubt that Eleven and the Hawkins survivors will go up against Vecna aka Henry Creel in an effort to prevent the Upside Down from taking over their town.
